When Bob Irish looked at gas-powered forklifts in Buffalo, NY back in the early 1960s, he didn’t just see a tool for warehousing– he saw an opportunity for his customers (and his own business).

He knew that powering those forklifts with propane rather than gasoline would enable the vehicles to run longer and more efficiently, and to operate more reliably – huge benefits for companies trying to make it big in Buffalo business. He imagined a propane tank strapped to every forklift in town, and now – more than half a century later – that vision has, at least in part, become a reality.
